GWR Autocoach

The Autocoach is an old Airfix model. The major modifications are the addition of detailing parts for Dart Castings with new underframe struts from brass angle and Laserglaze flush glazing. The roof has been repainted from the glaring white of the original, the droplight window frames have been painted to represent varnished wood and the coach has received a light weathering.

The detailed coach shown alongside an unmodified original. The extra detail is very apparent!

A full side on view showing the underframe detail. The interior has also been repainted and passengers added.

The Autocoach has also had new wheels fitted from the Gibson range and lamps from Springside.

This vehicle has had the couplings removed and it runs permanently coupled to a Collett 48xx 0-4-2 auto tank locomotive.

It has been weathered with brush applied acrylic paints using my own methods developed from techniques borrowed from Iain Rice
