Scratchbuilt

 

The Coal Stage is a freelance design but the inspiration comes from a number of examples usually found near branch line engine sheds and photographed in steam days.

 

Coffee stirrers and balsa strip were used to construct the Coal Stage and it was finished with acrylic paint washes.
